Already sold out at many stores around the motu are the coveted Woolworths hot cross buns made with Cadbury Caramilk (RRP $8). This indulgent treat – exclusive to Woolworths – is packed with generous chunks of creamy Caramilk chocolate, making it the perfect way to elevate any Easter spread. Those in Wellington, Dunedin, Christchurch and Mt Maunganui will have a chance to get their hands on some of the last packs in the country when the Woolworths Hot Cross Bun Food Truck pulls into town this month:

• Wellington: Saturday, 5th April; 10.30am, Wellington Waterfront
• Dunedin: Saturday, 12th April; Bottom of Baldwin Street, 10.30am, and Marlow Park, 12.30pm
• Christchurch: Sunday, 13th April; 10.30am, New Brighton Pier
• Mt Maunganui: Saturday, 19th April 10.30am
  To sweeten the deal, 5c from every pack of Woolworths in-store baked range will be donated to KidsCan – just look for the KidsCan message on the pack.
