Apple & Custard Hot Cross Bun Pull Apart

Ingredients
- 1 packets hot cross buns
- 1 cup custard
- 1/4 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1/4 green apple, peeled, cored and sliced thinly
- 1 tablespoons butter

- Step 1 of 6Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C fan-forced). Line a loaf tin with baking paper.
- Step 2 of 6Tear the hot cross buns into 3cm pieces. Place half the pieces tightly into the base of the tin.
- Step 3 of 6Mix cinnamon and apple together, and spread over the buns. Pour over the custard. Stack in the remaining buns pieces.
- Step 4 of 6Melt the butter and maple syrup together in a microwave jug.
- Step 5 of 6Pour the maple syrup mixture over the top of the hot cross buns. Bake for 25 minutes until the top is golden and crispy. Remove and cool.
