Cherry Glaze

- 1/3 cup dry sherry or sauvignon blanc

- Step 1 of 2Place sugar, sherry, cinnamon, star anise and cherries in a medium saucepan over low heat. Cook, stirring, for 5 minutes or until sugar dissolves.
- Step 2 of 2Increase heat to medium and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 5 minutes or until mixture has thickened slightly . Using a slotted spoon, transfer cherries to a bowl. Stand for 15 minutes to cool. Glaze ham and top ham with cherries in the last 5 minutes of ham cooking time.
