Chocolate Strawberry Hearts
These Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Hearts are perfect to make with the kids for a sweet snack or dessert platter. Get creative by using a mix of dark and white chocolate, or topping berries with extra sprinkles for decoration.
Recipe Tip You could also stick the strawberries upright into a piece of fruit like a lemon or orange to dry!
Ingredients
- 250 grams strawberries, tops removed
- 100 grams dark or white chocolate, melted
- 20 toothpicks

- Step 1 of 4Line a baking tray or other flat surface with baking paper.
- Step 2 of 4Cut the green tops from the strawberry in a straight cut. Slice the strawberry in half. Then using a small knife cut a small heart shape from the top of each half. Repeat on as many strawberries as desired.
- Step 3 of 4Break the chocolate into small pieces. Place into a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water, ensuring that the bowl does not touch the water. Stir occasionally until the chocolate is melted, smooth and glossy.
- Step 4 of 4Place a toothpick into the end of each halved strawberry and dip carefully into the chocolate until half covered. Place on lined, flat surface, and leave for 10 minutes to set.
