Classic Sangria

Whip up a Classic Sangria for your next gathering. This refreshing mix of red wine, citrus and berries is simple to prepare and easy to enjoy.
Recipe Tip If using fresh berries, pop them in the freezer for a couple of hours first!

Ingredients

  • 2 oranges, 1 squeezed, 1 cut into wedges
  • 2 limes, 1 squeezed, 1 slices
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen berries
  • 1 cup mint leaves
  • 2 cups sparkling water
  • 1 cup ice
  • 750 mL red wine
  • 1/4 cup brandy
  • 2 oranges, 1 squeezed, 1 cut into wedges
  • 2 limes, 1 squeezed, 1 slices
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen berries
  • 1 cup mint leaves
  • 2 cups sparkling water
  • 1 cup ice
  • 750 mL red wine
  • 1/4 cup brandy

Method

  1. Step 1 of 3
    Pour the red wine into a large jug. Add the orange juice and wedges, lime juice and slices, frozen berries and half the mint, reserving the remainder for garnish. Give it a good stir. If not using immediately cover and refrigerate until needed.

    When ready to serve, top up with sparkling water.
  3. Step 3 of 3
    Half-fill the glasses with ice, pour in the sangria and top it with a mint leaf and/or a piece of orange or berry.
