Easter Hot Cross Buns Pudding
This twist on a traditional bread and butter pudding using hot cross buns is a must on the table for Easter. Our Easter Hot Cross Bun Pudding recipe is a delicious dessert that the entire family will tuck in to.
Recipe Tip Pudding can be covered with plastic wrap and chilled for up to 5 days.
Ingredients
- 6 hot cross buns
- 300 mL cream
- 1 pinch cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons liquid honey
- 2 teaspoons icing sugar
- 1 kilograms plain yoghurt
- 5 eggs
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 50 grams butter

- Step 1 of 4Preheat the oven to 175°C (155°C fan-forced). Cut each bun into three even slices and butter. Arrange slices in a large ovenproof dish.
- Step 2 of 4Whisk eggs, cream, sugar, and spice, then pour over the buns. Allow to rest and soak up the cream for at least 20 minutes.
- Step 3 of 4Drizzle over honey and cover loosely with foil. Bake for 20 minutes, then remove the foil and cook for a further 20 minutes or until golden and the custard has set in the centre.
- Step 4 of 4Dust with icing sugar and serve with yoghurt.
