Fish Tacos with Strawberry & Avocado Salsa

Have you had enough ordinary tacos? Looking for something new? Here's a sensational fish taco recipe to that is bursting with flavour and goodness.
Recipe Tip Only wash strawberries if you are going to use them straightaway. Excess moisture creates mould.

Ingredients

  • 450 grams white fish fillets
  • 1 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 1 packets slaw
  • 1 tablespoons butter
  • 8 tortillas
  • 4 lime wedges

Salsa

  • 1 cup strawberries, roughly chopped
  • 1 avocado, diced small
  • 1/2 cup chopped coriander
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice

Lime mayo

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 lime, zest

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Method

  1. Step 1 of 6
    Cut the fish fillets into even sizes. Dust with paprika and season.
  2. Step 2 of 6
    In a large bowl, combine the slaw and packet sauce.
  3. Step 3 of 6
    To make the salsa, in a small bowl combine the strawberries, avocado, coriander and lime juice. Set aside.
  4. Step 4 of 6
    For the lime mayo, in a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, sour cream and lime zest until smooth. Set aside.
  5. Step 5 of 6
    To cook the fish, in a medium frying pan, heat the butter on a medium heat. Cook the fillets for 3 or 4 minutes each side depending on the thickness.
  6. Step 6 of 6
    To serve, warm the tortillas in the microwave for 1 minute. Top each with some slaw, fish, mayo and salsa. Serve with a lime wedge to squeeze over.
