Plum & Ginger Chutney

Ingredients

  • 1 kilograms plums, stones removed
  • 2 apples, peeled and diced
  • 1 red onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, grated
  • 1 tablespoons ginger, freshly grated
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup white wine vinegar
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 kilograms plums, stones removed
  • 2 apples, peeled and diced
  • 1 red onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, grated
  • 1 tablespoons ginger, freshly grated
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup white wine vinegar
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt

Method

  1. Step 1 of 4
    Add all the ingredients into a large pot. Slowly bring it to a simmer, stirring until the sugar has dissolved.
  2. Step 2 of 4
    Simmer for 50 minutes or until the chutney has thickened.
  3. Step 3 of 4
    Remove the star anise and cinnamon stick.
  4. Step 4 of 4
    Store in sterilised jars until ready to use.
