Plum & Ginger Chutney
Being sweet and spicy, Plum & Ginger Chutney is the perfect accompaniment to roast meats and sandwiches. It also makes for a great gift that keeps on giving. You'll love this easy chutney recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 kilograms plums, stones removed
- 2 apples, peeled and diced
- 1 red onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, grated
- 1 tablespoons ginger, freshly grated
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1 cup white wine vinegar
- 1 star anise
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 kilograms plums, stones removed

- Step 1 of 4Add all the ingredients into a large pot. Slowly bring it to a simmer, stirring until the sugar has dissolved.
- Step 2 of 4Simmer for 50 minutes or until the chutney has thickened.
- Step 3 of 4Remove the star anise and cinnamon stick.
- Step 4 of 4Store in sterilised jars until ready to use.
