Pulled Pork Tacos
Don't wait for Taco Tuesday to try our recipe for Pulled Pork Tacos! Trust us, these tacos are full of flavour, and sure to be a favourite any night of the week.
Ingredients
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 600 grams pork steaks, fat removed
- 1 packets taco seasoning
- 1 cup chicken stock
- 8 tortillas
- 100 grams garden salad
- 1 avocado, chopped
- 1/2 cup coriander leaves
- 1 lemon, cut into wedges
- 1 tablespoons olive oil
Dressing
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 pinch chilli flakes
- 1/4 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoons lemon juice
Pickled red onion
- 1 small red onion, sliced thinly
- 1 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons hot water
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed

- 8 tortillas

Dressing
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 pinch chilli flakes
- 1/4 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoons lemon juice
Pickled red onion
- 1 small red onion, sliced thinly
- 1 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons hot water
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- Step 1 of 7Preheat an oven to 130°C (150 ̊C fan-forced).
- Step 2 of 7Heat the oil in a large, ovenproof frying pan on a medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for 2 minutes. Add the steaks and brown on both sides. Sprinkle over the taco seasoning, then pour in the stock.
- Step 3 of 7Cover with foil and place into the oven for 1 hour, then remove the foil for a further 30 minutes or until the pork is tender. Remove from the oven and shred the meat into the juices.
- Step 4 of 7To make the pickled red onion, place the sliced onion in a bowl. Combine the salt, sugar, water and vinegar in a small jug or bowl, and pour over the onion. Cover and leave to sit for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
- Step 5 of 7For the dressing, in a small bowl combine the sour cream, chilli flakes, paprika and lemon juice.
- Step 6 of 7Grill the tortillas on a gas hob or in a frying pan to brown.
- Step 7 of 7To serve the tacos, spread a spoon of dressing over the tortillas, and top with salad, avocado, shredded pork and coriander. Serve with a lemon wedge on the side.
