Our Tawari honey is a light honey, not too sweet on the palate, and silky smooth in texture. It comes with hints of butterscotch and sometimes liquorice that linger just enough to give it a punch of interest. Use our Tawari honey to complement soft or full-bodied cheeses, on raw fruits, for topping ice-cream or pancakes, or for culinary delight in your desserts
Tawari Honey also is a Gold medal winner in the London Honey Awards and NZ Outstanding Food Producers Awards 2021 also a finalist in the contest for the 2021 World’s Best Tasting Honey in USA.
Tawari trees are found in great groves deep within our homeland, Te Urewera, a vast pristine native forest. Our bees work the pools of nectar of these flowers to produce one of NZ” finest honeys.
Manawa means heart, we’re Tuhoe from Ruatahuna, at the Heart of the Fish, in the heart of Te Urewera. Our Tawari Honey is one of the range of Honeys of Te Urewera.
