Genuine jersey benne potatoes grown in the fertile soils of oamaru, north otago. The ground used for growing jersey bennes is a small pocket of land fed by the waters of the kakanui river and bounded by the coast on one side and the rugged hills of north otago on the other, producing potatoes with an exquisite and distinctive flavour. Traditional harvesting methods are applied which involves gently turning the potatoes in the ground before hand picking and packing them into boxes to preserve them in top condition.
